High School
Pop Quiz
An elegant quiz
Mr.Bly's American History Class
The high school instructor announced a surprise "pop quiz" just before the class period ended.
Only 10 questions, all true or false, piece of cake.
Now this instructor was very methodical. As he went across the front of the room, he carefully counted out the exact number of quiz sheets for each row, saying, "Pass them back."
He gave the class five minutes, at the end of which, he said, "Pass your papers forward."

As he was collecting the quiz results, he went on to say, "I don't know if you noticed, but rows 1, 3, and 5 got one quiz, and rows 2, and 4 got a similar but different one."
He only had to note the red faces to know who had copied from their neighbor. And, he had the quiz papers to verify it.
Rather elegant, wouldn't you say!
Objective, verifiable evidence.
